COVID-19 Phase 4
At Southport Golf Club, we’re doing our part to help minimize the spread of COVID-19 by ensuring all provincially mandated procedures are in effect and are in line with the current ‘Phase Four’ updates which came into action on July 25.
We ask that all golfers read, understand, and follow the policies and procedures below before and during their visit to the Southport Golf Club.

Patrons must maintain a distance of at least 6 feet at all times, except for brief exchanges.
- Tee times are available at 15-minute intervals to ensure proper physical distancing.
- Hand sanitizing stations will be available in the clubhouse.
- Cashless or no-contact payment will be used to the greatest extent possible.
- Outdoor washrooms on the course and ball washers will be temporarily unavailable.
- Indoor washrooms will be available for use and will be frequently sanitized with a regime for business sanitization in place.
- Restaurant take-out and dine-in services are available. Tables have been arranged to maintain safe distancing measures.
Before You Arrive:
- You must have pre-booked a tee time before you arrive at the course.
- Arrive at the course no more than 15 minutes before your round.
- Groups may include up to 4 golfers.
- Please stay home if you are experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms, have traveled outside of western Canadian jurisdictions, or north-western Ontario within the past 14 days or have come into contact with someone who may have COVID-19.
- Handshakes, high fives, and other touching gestures are not permitted before, during, or after play.
Upon Your Arrival:
- Maintain proper physical distancing of 6 feet while unloading in the parking lot.
- Clubhouse entry will only be permitted through the north door and exit only through the south door.
- Maintain proper physical distancing of 6 feet between members and staff in the clubhouse.
- All golfers must use the hand sanitizer station upon entering the clubhouse.
During Your Play:
- You must wait until your assigned tee time. No exceptions.
- Please ensure the group in front of you has left the first tee box before you approach it.
- Only touch your own personal items - including balls, clubs, bags, and carts.
- Pins must remain in the holes at all times. Spacers have been added to the cups.
After Your Round:
- Park your cart on the south side of the clubhouse for it to be sanitized by staff.
- All refuse is to be taken home with you. Do not leave garbage in the cart.
- Please exit the facility upon returning your cart. No congregating in the parking lot allowed.
